Whole-home water filtration for Denver Metro homes
A whole-home system treats water where it comes into the house, so every faucet, shower and appliance gets filtered water. We install whole-house filtration and scale-control systems, including systems from HALO Water Systems, sized to your home and plumbing.

An under-sink filter treats one faucet. A whole-home system is installed on the main water line, after the shutoff, so the water at every tap, shower, washer and water heater has gone through it. It's plumbing work: cutting into the main line, adding bypass valves so the system can be serviced, and making sure the space, pressure and drain access are right. HALO systems we install
- HALO 5: HALO's whole-house filtration and conditioning system, with five stages in one unit.
- HALO ION 2.0 Plus: a salt-free scale inhibitor that HALO says needs no drain and no electricity.
- HALO Heater Guardian Elite: a sediment and scale filter that protects a tank or tankless water heater.
See HALO's full product line. Product details are HALO's. We'll help you pick the one that fits your home and your water.
Start with your water report
Every city water utility publishes an annual water quality report. It lists what's in your water and how it's treated. That's the best place to start before choosing a system, and we're happy to go through it with you. On a private well, get a current water test first.
Scale and your water heater
Minerals in the water build up as scale inside tank and tankless water heaters, on fixtures and in shower heads. Tankless units in particular need descaling when scale builds up. A scale-control system on the main line, or a filter on the heater itself, cuts down on that buildup. See tankless repair and descaling.
Signs a whole-home system makes sense
- Chlorine taste or smell at the tap
- White scale on faucets, shower heads and glass doors
- A tankless unit that needs descaling often
- You buy bottled water for drinking and cooking
- You'd rather treat the whole house than add filters faucet by faucet
How a visit goes
- Look at your waterWe go over your water report, or a well test, and what you want to improve.
- Look at the spaceWhere the main line comes in, how much room there is, your water pressure, and whether a drain is nearby.
- Recommend a systemThe system and size that fit your home, with a written price before we start.
- Install and testWe install it on the main line with bypass valves, check for leaks under pressure, and show you how it works.
What's different here
- Pressure. HALO's warranty requires water pressure between 40 and 80 psi. We check it, and if it's too high, a pressure-reducing valve may be part of the job.
- Licensed installation. HALO's warranty requires the system to be installed by a licensed contractor. John is a Colorado Master Plumber.
- Certification. HALO lists NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and 372 certification for material safety and lead-free compliance. Those cover the materials, not what the system removes from water.
- Hard water and heaters. Scale is one of the main reasons tankless units need descaling, so scale control and water heater work go together.
What affects the cost
Every home is set up differently, so we price the job after we've seen it. These are the things that move the number.
- The systemFiltration only, scale control only, or both.
- Home size and pipe sizeBigger homes and larger main lines need larger systems.
- Where it goesRoom near the main line, or rerouting pipe to reach a good spot.
- Drain accessSome systems need a drain nearby.
- Water pressureA pressure-reducing valve if pressure runs high.
- PermitsSome cities require a permit for work on the main line.
